We just got back from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The weather was gorgeous! It was an eleven hour drive, and we found out Katie gets car sick, but it was a fun time.
We got to visit with Dad (Grinpa), Aunt Donna (DeeDee), and Uncle Steve (Seebe). We got to swim in the Atlantic, play in the sand, do some shopping, and of course, eat some delicious seafood.
Katie found a new favorite song over her prior fave ("Baa-Baa Black Sheep"), "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", and can almost sing the whole thing! She also learned to count to 5. She only began to meltdown on the ride home, about an hour-and-a-half away- she dumped her toy basket all over the floor, but then she put it on her head and was giggling like crazy. She slept with us in our room on the floor, and every night we would wake up to find her in some crazy place, sleeping. The first night she was practically stuck between our bed and a desk. What a wierdo.
Matt got to see really bad traffic: getting on the Bay Bridge for Fourth of July weekend. I cajoled Matt into outlet mall shopping and trying fresh crabs, and he didn't do too bad at "picking". Matt finally admitted that the beach of an ocean was way better than a beach of a Great Lake. We even got to see dolphins jumping!
I found great deals at the outlet mall and got to share some love with my family, whom I hadn't seen in a long time. I was even able to control myself well enough to only flip off a jerk who cut us off and we almost slammed into- and he yelled at me because I honked at him! The AUDACITY!
All-in-all, it was a fabulous time!
